The cost of too much lip service and less action

Words are cheap, anybody can afford them. Looking at the culture I have grown up seeing and experienced, I knew a lot more in theory than in practice. Somehow the idea of taking the boys out to learn how to hunt was ditched. Here we are sitting behind blackboards for decades some for a lifetime to discover our potential. Would you then ask why when traveling around you find many seated around a pot talking football players. The need to learn practical aspects of life was sidelined by theoretical education. Our fathers worked hard and played hard probably because they understood that they had a responsibility to self, family and society. Nothing could stop them because they were determined, persistent on what they had planned out. You may say they also had a bit of luck on their side but lucky are those who work hard and are prepared. By 26 a number of them would have a well paying job or business, a car, a house, medical insurance plus other employment benefits. Fast forward...
