My Parables

 I have just had an extremely busy past three weeks. Was it worth it? Yes, but, had to face consequences for all the hard work which in most cases I had agreed to perform since NO has not been one of those words in my vocabulary. I was so absorbed in all the work that other areas of my life lacked sufficient time, however, results were needed at whatever cost so I had to step up to the challenge. One night while in bed, I felt that despite all the hard work I was not happy. Still awake, a thought struck my mind, “You have given some of you, now it’s time to have some of ME.” I realized, all along God was not in the picture and I needed to have Him included. I was rather doing everything out of my strength. It’s okay to be busy but consider that more than all the work you are doing, God is concerned about you. Your boyfriend could have great plans for your life, your father, mother or girl friend but God has greater plans for your life so why not choose to fix your eyes on His plans for you. Many things happen that do not favor us to have the kind of life we would Love to have but to God this does not mean we will not make it. This is actually an opportunity for Him to show us how much He cares about us. Challenging situations direct us to realize how inadequate we are on our own but adequate in God's presence. In my life I have felt the pressure to give up when going through tough times because it does not seem worth it any more to hold on. However, even in those times He alone knows the plans He has for my life. When we let Him take control we get to a place of confessing "My life is a testimony of God's greatness."
